After joining midway through last season, Ollie’s returns in 2023 as the title sponsor of the Cajun Region.

Day Motor Sports of Tyler, Texas again serves as the point series presenting sponsor and American Racer tire distributor for the region.

The 14-race schedule takes place in Louisiana and Texas, the hotbed for the Ollie’s Cajun Region, with one new track set to be added to the record books in 2023.

It all kicks off on April 1 in Cleveland, Texas when the Ollie’s Cajun Region invades 105 Speedway for the first of five trips to the quarter-mile oval.

Boothill Speedway, the host of the 2022 ‘Gunslinger 50,’ which paid $20,000-to-win in last year’s Ollie’s Cajun Swing, will host two events in 2023 on April 15 and again on Sept. 23.

Familiar stops on the docket include Super Bee Speedway in Chatham, La., Many, La.’s Sabine Speedway, and Vivian, La.’s Ark-La-Tex Speedway.

Rocket Raceway Park also returns to the schedule for the second consecutive season on Saturday, June 17. The Petty, Texas quarter mile also hosted two Cajun Swing events in 2022.

The newcomer to the ‘23 Ollie’s Cajun Region is arguably the Lone Star State’s most famous venue, Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas. The series debuts at Devil’s Bowl on Saturday, Aug. 19.

A complete schedule can be found on the series website: https://shorttracksuperseriescajun.com/?page_id=30

Cajun Party Time: Ollie’s ‘Cajun Swing’ Schedule Set for November 8-12

Written by Chris Moore

SHREVEPORT, LA – It’s Cajun party time!

For the third consecutive year, the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco heads to the Ark-La-Tex corridor in a combined effort with the series’ growing Ollie’s-sponsored ‘Cajun Region’ for a five-night swing Nov. 8-12.

Ollie’s presents the ‘Cajun Swing’ visiting three different facilities in two states, with $37,000 in winners’ shares up for grabs for STSS Modified competitors.

For the first time in history, the stars of the Northeast-based Short Track Super Series visit Texas on Tuesday, Nov. 8 and Wednesday, Nov. 9. The state-of-the-art Rocket Raceway Park in Petty, Texas hosts the ‘Cajun Swing’ for two nights of action.

While the ‘Cajun Region’ has ventured to the Lone Star State, the Northeastern contingent will make its debut in Texas – the 11th different state visited for the series.

Tuesday night’s (Nov. 8) winner will reward the first time Texas winner with a $4,000 payday at the conclusion of 30 green-flag laps.

The following night – Nov. 9 – the STSS returns to Rocket Raceway Park with $5,000 up for grabs after 35 laps in Night No. 2.

The Ollie’s ‘Cajun Swing’ heads two hours east to a familiar stop on Thursday (Nov. 10): Vivian, La.’s Ark-La-Tex Speedway. Another $4,000 top prize at the end of 35 laps is on the line in Round No. 3 of the Ollie’s ‘Cajun Swing.’

Rounds No. 4 & 5 of the Ollie’s ‘Cajun Swing’ bring the stars of the STSS to Greenwood, La.’s Boothill Speedway.

Boothill Speedway – the site of last year’s opening round – will celebrate its 50th anniversary season with the final two nights of the ‘Cajun Swing.’

Friday (Nov. 11) features a 30-lap, $4,000-to-win main event before Saturday’s grand prize.

Saturday’s (Nov. 12) finale of the Ollie’s ‘Cajun Swing’ rewards the winner with a $20,000 paycheck at the end of 50 laps in the ‘Gunslinger’ special.

The entire five-night swing will be broadcast live to a national audience on FloRacing (www.floracing.tv) as part of the $150 annual subscription.
