Written by Chris Moore
ENNIS, TX – Lone Star State Bound.
For the first time in history, the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco ‘Cajun Region’ heads across the Louisiana border and into Texas.
Big O Speedway in Ennis, Texas will host the first-ever STSS race in the Lone Star State, as the STSS big-block/small-block Modifieds of the Cajun Region invade Texas!
Many, La.’s Caleb Dillard leads the Cajun contingent on their voyage West, as he holds the point lead by 45 markers over Converse, La.’s Tommy Rascoe in the Day Motor Sports (Tyler, Texas) title chase. Dillard is also the sole competitor with multiple wins on the Cajun Region thus far.
Dillard’s three wins came at Chatham (La.) Speedway on May 29 and July 24, and his third and most recent triumph came at Thunder Valley Speedway in Glenmora, La., on July 31.
Robeline, La., native Greg Dillard rounds out the top three, 104 points behind his son Caleb.
Big O Speedway is also on the schedule for September 18, as the STSS Modifieds will head back to Texas for a second go around in the Lone Star State.
Big O Speedway is located at 3118 FM 85 Ennis, TX 75119. “Like” Big O Speedway on Facebook or visit www.bigospeedway.com to learn more.
